This fairly well captures the problem with police militarization. Citizens protest anti-abortion legislation in Richmond, VA. They are greeted by a Virginia State Police contingent expecting an armed insurgency. I guess DHS paid for all this equipment, we might as well use it, right?
Whatever your politics, this is comically provocative for what I can only assume was peaceful protest.
