The RSS Subscription Extension from Google put that familiar orange dingus on Chrome’s address bar when there was an RSS feed available:
It stopped working for me a few weeks ago. When I click on the icon, it just says Loading..., forever.
Let’s assume this is just an oversight, and not some chucklehead strategy to get me using Google+ or whatever.
Fortunately, some enterprising open source developer is maintaining a fork. It’s called RSS Subscription Extension (by Open Source). Works great. Hasn’t been updated in a year, but it’s not broken. So problem solved.
