This is a good opportunity to recommend "Unlocking the Sky", about Glenn Curtiss and the horrific patent trolling of the Wright Brothers. Curtiss was the only American to compete in this, the first international air show. The Wright Brothers chose not to attend. [via voxsartoria.]
