SpamArrest Smackdown

The premise is this: you receive an email of unknown origin, and SpamArrest will bounce the message to sender, asking them to confirm their humanity before it forwards the in-doubt email to your inbox. A lovely idea, until SpamArrest sends spam. Their license allows them to use any email address they receive, from any source, for their own purposes. More from PoliTech.

  1. Well, it just ain’t a perfect world is it. All I know is SpamArrest has transformed my inboxes from resembling a filthy, skid row gutter to something my wife and kids can actually use, again. And, I signed up for it as a result of having gotten one of these messages after verifying my address to another SpamArrest user. So, maybe it’s a little off kilter sending these notes to senders that have verified themselves, but the service they provide is a god-send.
