S.317 more or less speaks for itself. The five Senate sponsors would like to do away with the 40-hour work week by abolishing the federally mandated time-and-a-half compensation for overtime.

Obviously you didn’t take the time to read the bill because it state very clearly “to provide private sector emplolyees the same opportunities for time and a half comp time off, bi-weekly programs, and flex credit hour programs as Federal employees. . .”
Read it, before you make comments on things you obviously don’t understand.

Obviously, neither of you have read the bill, either. If you move past the horseshit summary, Angie, you’ll find that this bill will kick off a “race to the bottom,” as employees who surrender their choice of comp time are given OT, while those less flexible (with families) no longer get a chance at OT.
This fixes no kind of problem. Yay employers.
